Closure of the Year of Faith
Priests, Sisters and Christians convened at St. Joseph’s Cathedral for the Holy Mass marking the end of the Year of Faith on 23 November. The principal celebrant was Archbishop Ignatius Chama, the Apostolic Administrator.
The day started with a Faith Walk from Puma Filling station. During this procession the participants lined according to parishes while carrying the banners with their priests accompanying them.
Though a Saturday, the Cathedral was packed to capacity and the liturgy was well prepared and almost everybody actively participated.
During Holy Mass selected Christians from each parish were honoured for their contribution in the work of evangelization. They received a Certificate and the Bible.
In conclusion the Year of Faith has helped us grow as a family of God, united and strong in faith. It is a year to remember.
