The condition of the house was quite bad. The walls needed painting, the ceiling boards had holes, some doors needed replacement, the septic tanks were overflowing and smelly. The soak-aways had collapsed, glass panes were broken. In short: The rectory was due for an overhaul. The new team, Fr. Sefelino Chibesa and Fr. Charles Mwila took on the task. They were helped by Catechist Stephan Kalela.

The aim was to restore the house to its former condition. The result can be seen on the pictures. We have a new Chalabesa. Guests are welcome again. Come and see for yourself. The renovation was made possible through funds from Propaganda Fide in Rome. A heartfelt thanks to our donors.
